Re: 2002 Alliance Meetings
FYI - In 2002, the Legislature is scheduled to consider bills on the floor January 22
through February 7 and February 26 through March 14.
Please review the proposed schedule for Alliance meetings in 2002:
February 7-8 in Milwaukee – Marquette University
- We have scheduled a conference co-sponsored by the ICC and the Greater Milwaukee
Committee built around the study by Myron Orfield of Metropolitan Area Research
Corporation on social and fiscal disparities in selected Wisconsin cities. The study was
commissioned by Wisconsin Sustainable Cities, Inc., the ICC and the Greater Milwaukee
Committee. The Alliance meeting is scheduled for Feb. 7 - Finance and Board in the morning
and General Membership in the afternoon. Call the Executive Inn, 414-342-0000.
June 13-14 in Madison, in conjunction with the US Conference of Mayors.
- Boardman Law Firm has been asked by the US Conference of Mayors to host a social event.
We have agreed to add our name as co-sponsor. Boardman would cover the cost. Alliance
members may be asked to contribute hometown trinkets for a "goodie bag" and
would be expected to attend as hosts. Rooms blocked at the Sheraton Hotel through June 19.
